I went to the Reboubt Crown so that I could confirm something that I've been told by some friends of mine. The fact that the walls inside the fortress were painted red so that when enemies would attack their blood wouldn't show on the walls. But the museum was closed when I got there...I found out that the museum is open on Thursdays and Fridays between 12:00pm and 14:00pm.
From Wikipedia
Skansen Kronan (Redoubt Crown) is a redoubt in Gothenburg, Sweden. It was built in the later half of the 17th century and was built for the purpose of preventing the Danes to attack Gothenburg from the south.
The fortress which originally was built outside the city walls is today situated in the city centre of Gothenburg on a hill in the city district of Haga. It is now used as a military museum.
UPDATE: The walls are painted in white... |

Hej Mona,
This is a good photo, taking well care of the fine pattern of the stones in the wall and concentrating on the door. I am sorry to say that I have never been inside here, though I live not so far away.
