A picture taken nearby my work currently located on the Stockholm island Liljeholmen. Whilst passing by this wall detail I found myself connecting this image with Pink Floyd's 'Another Brick...' and the next day my equipment (including a tripod) joined to work :) Do mind that I shot this one in January and that during the winters Stockholm tends to be covered by layers of snow. Just imagine, in a cold and overall greyish setting this unusual placed brick felt rather misplaced...
Shot with 300mm from a longer distance to avoid converging lines and the EOS 300V mounted to the tripod to use a shutter time > 1sec.

I plan to take more pictures of Liljeholmen. An old historic building - the former Alfred Nobel Factory - has changed into an art gallery, a special playground called 'The Scent and Fruit Playground' and many more great locations to visit...

Another Brick in The Wall (part 3)

I don't need no arms around me
And I don’t need no drugs to calm me.
I have seen the writing on the wall.
Don't think I need anything at all.
No! Don't think I'll need anything at all.
All in all it was all just bricks in the wall.
All in all you were all just bricks in the wall.

Pink Floyd seem to be very popular here on TE, and with good reason too. You are absolutly right, that brick is strange, and it almost appears that if you were to remove it the whole building would crash, very well seen.

Nice texture and good note. I like this small red brick in the right part, which breaks the homogeneity of the wall. Just another brick in the wall, as you said (or as R. Waters said...), but probably the brick by which the wall can be thrown down...
Great pict !

The more I´m watching this shot the more I like it. Interesting mix of lines, light tones and textures. And the red brick really makes this shot great.

If I was the bricklayer who made this wall I wouldn´t enclose this image to my application of job...

I don't know if I'm leaving a smiley for the photo or for the souvenir of Pink Floyd. I guess both deserve it. Nice texture!

PF are my favourite, then I like this picture, thank's for post it, well done!

Great, Edwin. Brick walls have a fantastic texture and with good light it gives excellent results. Have you seen My brick wall ?
I like the variety of brick types and colors. I also like the frame and the parallel lines. Very well done.
Your title and note are good, that means that you are also a refugee of the 70's, just like me.

Nice shot..nice title..well done

Hi Edwin. The photo is very good, but the idea behind it is what makes this picture for me. Excellent note as well.

..all in all you´re just a ..another brick in the wall :)

Great song and a very original photo too. The red brick is so..out of place.and that´s what makes the image so different.
