Kalmar Reflections

I was looking in my archives of last summer and found this reflection photo from Kalmar, Sweden, taken last June.

The photo shows Kalmar Domkyrka (Kalmar Cathedral), which is located at Stortorget in Kalmar. Kalmar Domkyrka was built between 1660 and 1703 in Italian Baroque style.

The city of Kalmar is located in the province (landskap) of Småland. It is situated by the Baltic Sea or more precise the Kalmarsund, a strait between the Swedish mainland and the island Öland. The city has about 34,000 citizens.

The photo was taken in the roof of a car and just when I took the photo another car also passed by, which gave an little extra reflection.
This reflection photo I decided to rotate.

Hi Lars,

Very interresting technique! I like it. The result is surprisingly sharp and I guess you used a manual focus to get it that way...

Great capture and well seen. Nice composition. I should have increased the contrast and brightness to enhance the nice colours but I like it anyway

Ik weet dat dit kasteel erg beroemd is, maar ben er zelf nooit geweest. Mooie kleuren. Het zonlicht op de cijfers en wijzers van de klok is erg mooi.

Olá Lars, great creative result on this reflection shot. Good choice of rotating. The distortion effect on the corner is wonderful. As if a page of a book was being unfold to to see another page. Even the general softness goes well with this effect. Good choice from your archieves.

Bonjour, mon ami Lars,
Une très bonne façon de photographier un monument. J'aime beaucoup l'originalité de cette prise de vue, savoir se servir de l'environnement (voiture, entre autres) est une excellente initiative.
J'aime beaucoup le contraste entre les deux éléments (reflet et voiture).

Wow, this is not the usual reflection picture, you have given a different texture to the image, the shape of the buildings appear very attractively, and in a different way!

Sometime the cars are usefull to something else than driving (and having accidents). Nice use of the metalized paint of this roof, which curve does not disturb to much the reflexion.

Hej Lars, een sterke en complexe reflectie foto hier! De vorm van het dak en de grens tussen de auto zelf en de reflectie maakt 'm heel grafisch en de cathedrale is mooi dromerig geworden in zijn gereflecteerde toestand.

Hi Lars,

A clever idea to hunt for reflections on the cars' roofs :-) The photo is surprisingly clear, taking the conditions into account. The architecture is very similar to the Czech style of Baroque churches. Well done.

En een mooi resultaat dat je dit opleverde Lars goed ge-editeerd met deze contrasterende kleuren blauw en geel-oranje en leuke boord met de reflectie op de andere wagen, scherp door de hoge snelheid die je aanhield.
