Another boulder shot. The boulderers always prefer climbing in the shade, because the colder rock gives more friction (less sweat). Sometimes these guys go out when it's 0-5 degrees C because the rocks are optimal. It's like summer climbing is just for fun, the most difficult problems are usually solved in the winter.

Interesting picture Simon. I would crop at the bottom in order to avoid this dark and geometrical object. The cropped person on the right don't disturb me. The tuch of green light is perfect. Thank you.

I like that it's so detailed, you can really see his body working to make it up that rather impossible cliff. Not only doesn't it bother me that you've cropped his friend i think it adds drama to the shot that those arms just come floathing in from the right to help out. Good work.

Simon
A very TE picture, a great subject. It would be nice if you could zoom in just on his torso and head, loose the tree on the right totally, it would give a very much stronger image to go with your title. Your Dof is also just a bit soft on the face - compare with his friend on the right.

Very powerful, Simon, caught in a very decisive moment - you're so right. And the image is spot on, with one hesitation: I'd crop off the crash pads at the bottom, not only do they disturb the composition - they take away the tension. The rest is super, including the well-lit green forestry as backdrop. Well done!
