Bergsbronhavet/lake at the rockbridge

It was Motala river which gave Norrköping life and power. Waterpower got the many mills which were built here since the middle ages working. Within Norrköping the river has a free fall of 18m from which a lot of power was available. Not only that, in the river Salmon and other fish could be found.

The free fall of 18m of the Motala river within Norrköping gives an other opportunity to use the power of the water. It can be used to produce electricity. The hydropower installation you see here was built in the beginning of the 20th century and is still being used today.

This photo is the second of a series of five about the preserved Norrköping industrial landscape. All photo’s in this series were taken in July 1997 and are scanned from positive slides.

Vi tar det här på svenska.
Kalasbra bild där arkitekturen blir i centrum, frånvaron av människor gör det extra estetiskt kompositionen är utmärkt klassisk med bro diagonalen och vertikalen mitt i "gyllene snittet".
Jag tycker också att molnen i fonden ramar in det hela bra och gör den intressant trots att det är ett "dag" fotografi.
