Hi Hercules,
Unique shot. The chandeleir stands out so sharply against the backdrop of the room it's in. Interesting textures and lighting. Almost a smokey effect which seems to work.

Very nice light in this ice cave, I like those pastel tone in blue and green. It's a magic picture from Walt Disney movie.

i well know that type of bar, 'cause in Milan there is an Absolut Ice Bar, opened some years ago...really similar to that one, except that it was built inside a giant "freezer"!

Εντυπωσιακές φωτογραφίες αν και αρκετά δύσκολες λήψεις.
Τελικά ο 10-22 της Canon έχει πολύ καλή απόδοση.

It's a fantastic place you're showing us my friend! it looks like made out of precious stones and also like coming from a fairy tale with these iced sculptures. Nice color tones and a fine light exposure is fine and th too... it's difficult to believe that one can sleep in that hotel :) It's goes to my theme 'more fav.pictures'

Hola Hercules,
una foto interesante de un lugar muy curioso. De hecho he visitado algo parecido en los Alpes franceses y suizos, bajo glaciares, pero este hotel, con elegante lámpara de cristal incluída, tiene un buen impacto a la vista.
Y además, es difícil trabajar bien la exposición, los brillos y reflejos de la luz son difíciles de controlar, pero tu trabajo en exposición larga, con trípode y sin flash dan un gran resultado aquí.
Veo en tu nota que eres amante del buen whiskey, sobre todo del irlandés, yo casi coincido contigo, aunque me gusta el single malt escocés.

wonderful and very interesting shot of this unique hotel. It's wonderful. But I can't immagine a first night in this ice cold rooms ;)))))) Now it comes to my mind an old joke of the fridge seller, that made a fortune in - any frozen country is good, but the originaly was - Greenland. The boss asked him, how you succed to sell this many fridges up-there? Well, I convinced the people that is better to make love at 5 degrees celsius than at 20 below zero ;))))

Hello Hercules! I have to say I have never been inside a ice building sculpture like this but certainly would like to some day. This photo really stands out in your gallery and the points given confirm it. Excellent capture indeed. I have to ask you how you like using the Canon wide angle lens 10-22? The results seem very clean with little distortion and great for inside buildings. Thanks for sharing.. good work!

I met this photo by chance while it was exhibited on Featured Destination on TE.
Impressive photo with an impressive and surprising note and workshop.Optic fibres are very successfull to enlighten the hotel.
The bride and the bridegroom in WS don't like feeling the cold. So the answer of your question maybe; Perhaps they get more closer because of the cold:))
