Picture of a seagull resting after a furious feeding session. The picture is taken in the Rålambshovs park in Stockholm, a popular place for picnic's, walks and feeding birds by the water.
This particular kind of gull is called skrattmås in Swedish, which translates into laughing gull, this is because of laughing call it makes.
Picture was taken with a fill flash to lighten the shade on the bird.

This is just excellent. Your composition is just amazing and the sharpness/colors of the bird and objects around it are perfect all the way. Maybe I would have liked to have seen the DOF a bit more narrow to focus more on the bird itself, but this is just a small minor point. Anyway, excellent work. Well done.

I like the composition. The presence of colors close to the color of the head add something to this nice shot.The light is good, it gives volume to the seagull. The Nikon equipment support you well in this shot: it is sharp, there are détails in the feathers. excellent!

Nice combination of colors, Mattias, very sharp with good details in the plumes. Excellent that you've caught the color in the eye, which agree with the beak and legs. Nice light and good DOF - perhaps a tweak more shallow - but is good as is too. The fill flash came in very handy. Well done!
