Photographer’s Note
Eager to try my new toy (Nikon D70, bought yesterday), I was hesitant when my friends called me for some climbing this afternoon. Fortunately the weather permitted outdoor climbing which provided for ample photo opportunities.
Workdays you can't travel very far so we met up at a spot in central Stockholm where there is a small cliff. Münchenbryggeriet (the Münich Brewery) is a beautiful brick building facing the water in the middle of town. It is no longer a brewery (as far as I know) but amongst other things houses a school and a stage for live music performances. This terrace, with it's beautiful wooden structure and great view, caught my eye in the colorful light of sunset. In the background, across the water, you can see the City hall.
Postprod: Slight contrast mask to lighten up the shadows. Increased saturation of blue colors only, the reds are as they where. Resized and sharpened.

I don't know why this photo didn't get any comment 'til now. Perhaps the thumbnail is not appealing. I think it is a perfect start with your new D70. Not only a very good composition, but mainly a very pleasant light giving the photo an overall warm tonality. I really like it. Very good IMO.
