[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Visby is the biggest town on Gotland and is often called "the city of roses and ruins".
Medieval history is very well preserved in this beautiful little town, everywhere is old houses to be found and ruins of churches hundreds of years old.
Visby is on the UNESCO list of world heritage and is a typical hanseatic town with a ring wall sourrounding the town centre, more than 200 medieval houses made of limestone and small houses made of wood and stone from "only" a few hundred years ago.
Visby is also a centre of modern arts, both graphical and interactive arts aswell as classical arts, paintings, sculptures and handcraft.
In the summer the city is a appreciated place to visit for tourists, families and young people looking for a good time. The city comes alive with bars and discos, restaurants and cafés, festivals and concerts.
Visby is really a place worth a visit!

The note is excellent and the picture is well framed, but for my liking the colors are too harsh.

Great shot Frida, nicely composed and rich colours. There is some slight curvature in the horizon, possibly some barrel distortion in your lens. This can be corrected in photoshop. Otherwise well done

I really like this image Frida.. You composed it very well and you were really well served by the beautiful scenery. It does look marvellous.

A beautiful architecture study from Visby, Frida. A fine viewpoint to show this glance above the roofs which are popping up in different angles and colors. Nice background with the cloudy sky, and good colors overall. Very interesting notes as well.

I'm adding this into Ken's theme on World Heritage sites.

You displayed a view of Visby exactly how I recall it. Have you been there during the Medieval Week?

image qui illustre bien la note ; cependant, je trouve les couleurs un peu saturées à mon goût et la mer est très sombre au loin. Néanmoins, le cadre donne envie d'en connaître plus.

When Sverige seems so subdued and warm... What a beautiful country!
