The St.Jacob's Church that is situated near Kungsträdgården park was built in XVI-XVII centuries. The building is a mixture of gothic forms and renaissanse. The church has been renovated quite some times and still looks magnificient. It opened in 1643 and the bustling city has since then grown around it.

Hi George,
This is really good; bright, colourful, and a very good composition.
Shooting this at the telephoto end of your zoom was a good choice, as the compression of perspective works well and makes the buildings seem closer than they really are. It has also (almost) helped you avoid the dreaded converging vertical lines that a wide angle would have produced.
Good work.
Ben

Hello George, Good idea that this superbly enlightened photograph and development by this beautiful hot light, the stained glasses of l`église and its roof are superb, the cornices and the coating of the gotic frontage are really splendid and you knew well to seize and tally these rich person details, the sky of a blue saturated envelope with wonder the tonalities with this building, sincerely

Hi George,

Stockholm is definitely not a black and white city, and your photo shows it well. Nice point of view and very clever angle that allows to see the red/orange window frames of the foreground building, echoing the color of the church.

Great light, details and texture. Nicely done!

André

Hi George,
Very dynamic framing here!
You make great use of this opportunity for colour contrast, the red church with the green roof is awesome... must be first time I see a church in shining bright red like this?
Good point of view and superb details!
Greetings,
Pablo -

Hello George
This is a super shot once again. What wonderful colours with the façade on the left very interesting in terms of works on the wall. The bright red colours of the church with the green dome against the deep blue sky offers fascinating contrast. Your angular perspective also shows us this place exceedingly well.

Angshu

Hi George
A great capture with an amazing impact derived from this rich orange colour. I like the way it contrast with the blue sky too. Nice light and good sharpness. A nice, architectural shot.
Aubrey

Greetings George.
You do such a good job with perspective and color. You ability to see the contrast in angles and colors makes yopur photos very good indeed. Another fine example. The descending angle of the foreground building contrasts with the more horizontal line of the church. Also, the more earth-tone colors of the foreground building help pop the church out of the frame.
Well done,
Chris.
:) out today, be back.

Hi George,
A picture of contrasts, that what it appears to me. The contrast of old and new architecture, the contrast in colours. Well Done!

Hi George,
A classic juxtaposition of the old and new, with both colour and style of architecture contrasting between the two buildings. I like the crisp sharp clean appearance of these structures and the perspective chosen to capture them. The clarity of detail is amazing. Congratulations on this one, George. First rate...later
John
