Taken in Glaskogen Nature Reserve this last weekend.
I endured over 100 mosquito bites to get some nice shots of this enchanting part of sweden.
Taken in the morning while the mist was still on the lake...

It looks like a Japanese garden with the rock in the middle of the sand. Indeed, this lake is of a perfect stability. It keeps water colder.
But I thin it could be better with less sea and more landscape in the mist. Seems to be a magical place.

Great composition, like the minimalism, the soft light, and the use of DOF to isolate the rock and its reflection, the mist adds to the create the a "tranquility" atmosphere. Jesus

I know what you mean about Swedish mosquitos, I had same problems with Norwegion beasts. Very beautiful picture with fogged background. At first i thought that" is something like "Nessy" but in Swedish lake :)

It's a simple but great compo. The rocks are sharp enough , and your focus is good ...

There does seem to be an eiry, mystic quality here, with the lone rocks, calm waters and mist.

it is strange. All seems immersed by the fog and scrambled, except this rock, very clear, which contrasts with the remainder. Not a lot of element, but extremely effective I find.

Nathan, this is a wonderful picture. Hard to add anything... so serene, so quiet. Superb.

Hi Nathan !
I really understand your feelings about the mosquitos !! And still, with 100 bites you're quite lucky in those parts of Sweden :o) A very calm and peasible atmosphere. I like the mist in the horizon line ! Well done.
So nice that you couldn't imagine there are that many mosquitos in such places !! hehe

Well done composition, the corner position of the rocks is strong. I would like to try this in B&W even though the cool blue is very pleasant too.

Thtas a real cool and an extremely bold shot to take and post it here. I simply love the way you have showcased the starkness and barenness around the lone little island. Great colours
