[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The way to survive the winter for this little spruce is to look so small that the passing elk will not bother to bend down and eat it. But somehow the sun gives the secret away.

Simple mais superbe graphisme.
La branche de sapin verte donne une belle touche de couleur dans cet espace blanc.

Bravo

He-he-he, very clever - as always, Ebbe!
Wonderful study of texture and dimensionality and everything packed in fine composition.
I love this one,
Robi

ebbe,
i was looking at all your pics and i love them, this one in special is cool because if you look at the shadow quickly you would think its a big spruce but then you realize its quite small, and that first looks can be deceiving, i like the contrast between the white of the snow and the shadow, was it in the morning or afternoon?

Bien vu , une tres belle idée , j'aime le cadrage et l'image est tres nétte , c'est bien fait .

VEry well seen, Ebbe, and a very good composition. I like the fact that the long shadow is in a diagonal line. I like the texture of the snowy surface, and your note..

Hi Ebbe,
Nice simple composition.
Good light and amount of details.

Nice little story, but somehow I'd like to see more snow around the little spruce to make it really small and endangered from preying elks and photographers. Perhaps the present composition with some extra snow added at the top to make it a square frame would do the trick for me, I can't answer for anybody else.

Simple and very effective. Perfectly placed in the corner and showing the long winter shadows. I would have done the same thing as you. Very nice.

Utmost minimalistic and graphic, Ebbe. Beautiful texture on the snow and excellent sharpness on the spruce. Unbelievable conclusion about size of tender seedlings and elk food. The low Nordic sun and the faint light is exceptionally well rendered - also creating depth in the image. Very well done!

Hi Ebbe.

Really nice view, with the low sun lighting the scene. It's good you choose the diagonal.
I would have cropped a little bit, but not much from the top to make it more symetric.

take care, Aleks
