As of January 2, 2012 The Wheel of Gothenburg no longer will be located on Kanaltorget, next to the Opera House and Älvrummet. Instead, it will move to the Liseberg amusement park.
The dismantling of the wheel is expected to take five weeks, and Kanaltorget will then be restored to it's original condition.
The next time the wheel will be open is in conjunction with the Liseberg season premiere.
