Three Girls, a photo from Vastergotland, Gotaland

Photographer's Note

An ordinary street view on the Hising Island in Gothenburg. The photo was taken here, and you can place the yellow man at the red cross and pan around.

You can see a quite spectacular building just to the right here. This was originally built for the Hasselblad company, but now the Swedish Radio and the Swedish Television have taken over.

The background rock is a part of Ramberget, a popular viewpoint in Gothenburg.

Hej Gunnar,
A nice composition with good depth, thanks to the invisible connection between the three girls and the distant person pulling a suitcase. The long line of trees enforce the feeling of depth. The autumn colours are fine and there are some very attractive patterns and nuances of grey to be seen on the hillside.

Outre les jeunes femmes fort bien placées dans la composition, ce sont ces roches formant une sorte de monstre endormi qui attire le regard.
L'effet de perspective est excellent. De plus, la végétation se pare de mille couleurs, le tout est fort agréable à contempler.

wow! that's some spectacular bg to your photo. As Gert says the girl pulling the suitcase helps gives a good dof. I also like that the woman in the poster looks towards us, as if in compensation for the backs of the girls' head.Nice autumn colours.

Hi Gunnar, i didn't know you have such wonderful rock in Gothenburg! Nice place and the view from there must be fine. Very nice view with the row of lamps and autumn trees. Excellent depth, pleasant colours. But where is the man in red shirt??? Pleasant composition and excellent sharpness.

What a beautifully composed and perfectly exposed picture! The lighting on the distant rocks is amazing and complements the autumnal colours of the trees. The three young ladies are placed perfectly in the frame too.

Again, another interesting link to a map. Have you not shown us a picture of what was the Hasselblad building before?

Hallo Gunnar!
Eine eigentlich einfache Straßenszene, die aber durch die imposante Felswand im Hintergrund sehr "aufgewertet" wird. Der Gletscherschliff auf den Felsen ist interessant und die herbstlichen Farben rundherum lassen den Felsklotz irgendwie leichter erscheinen. Die map view und street view sind zusätzlich interessant!

un bien bel endroit avec un arrière plan d'un grand pittoresque, une formation rocheuse très spéciale.

I like the long and compressed perspective here created by the long focal lens. The row of trees with their autumn colours is very attractive and lead the eye towards that impressive rock in the background. But of course it's the three girls who give sense to the image. Quite pleasant and well framed,
