Street in Malmö Photo

Photographer’s Note

This is a street in the city of Malmö in Southern Sweden. I think it is Hyregatan near the centre, but I'm not sure. (Do you recognize it, Kent?)

Malmö is the largest city in the province of Skåne (Scania). The municipality has about 270,000 inhabitants. The city was founded in 1254. Malmö is connected with Copenhagen by Öresundsbron (Øresunds Bridge).

I took this picture on a very bright day in June. I like the colours of the houses and the shadows in the street.

The Mrs, who knows the city way better than me, don't recognize it as Hyregatan because she say this street is a lil to wide for that. But non of us is 100% sure. Hyregatan is one of backstreets from Stortorget to Malmöhus.

Nice picture, Lars. Very nice colours (but maybe you should crop a bit of the bottum, but that's just a detail.

The street is called Långgårdsgatan. I think the café on the right hand side is Siesta, and the yellow building is a school called Västra skolan, and after that is a hotel.

A quiet little street with attractive cobblestones, nice!
Good perspective and a fine feeling of depth, vivid colours and fine details in the architecture...

Nice perpective on the street, but perhaps a bit noisy and the color of the sky, although very pleasant, looks a bit artificial. You have much progressed since that one.
