Photographer’s Note
In the end of November Skitviken (Sh*t bay) froze over. This bay is a narrow tounge of water going in from the river at the bottom of a park valley. It is maybe 200 m long and 50 m wide at the most. When it enters the river it is quite narrow and crossed by a walkbridge that I used to take this ice shot where the trees on land reflect in the water.
The name Skitviken is old and probably means that this place was used for dumping things. The kids of the neighborhood say it is impossible to fish here as the line allways hooks up on scrap.
Full colors, even increased saturation a little.

Unusual composition Ebbe. I like the way the frozen part is going more and more on the rest of the water.
The reflection is excellent.
Well done.

Hi Ebbe, interesting view, it gives the impression a new ice age is gradually spreading over the nature, nice reflection too, well seen and taken !

Really a nice shot Ebbe. The thin ice seems to do it's best to erase the mirror on dalälven. For a short time I actually believed it was a BW until I read your note.
Well done Ebbe och God Jul

maybe because of the time of the year, or the fact that the weather here in korea is getting colder by the day, but i see this as the ice growing. i can almost feel it "creeping down" towards the bottom left, "eating up" the trees and eventually covering the whole frame in icy whiteness.

Great way to take a shot from the forest, Ebbe. Perhaps you should have turned it upside down, to give an enigma why it is not to sharp :-).
Would have in B&W too.

You have a very creative way to show us your winter, Ebbe, and when it comes to ice, your imagination produces wonderful images. THis is a great composition, and it is very well captured. Did you try it upside down?
Merry Christamas.

Such simplicity and so graceful, Ebbe. I love the mood this image gives to me! Composition is just right and you have just the right amounts of ice and reflection.
