Photographer’s Note
A follow up of my picture "Going anywhere" that must have been exotic to some of you judging by the response. This is a nother shot from the same occasion. Not much to say, I like the arrows on signs, traffic lights and on the ground aswell as the RBG-colors.
Still in a blues mood....

You made a good composition with a usual life situation. Good framing here. Good POV.

Thanks for referring to your previous picture of the same spot, Ebbe. I missed that one, so I'm glad I could have a belated look! I really like your way of dealing with these dirty winter roads. It's a creative way of getting the best out of what is normally considered an ugly situation.
Yes, the car adds a human element, but in this case I prefer the more abstract version without the car. On the other hand, I like the crop on the top of this picture better than the previous one, where you included more of the bridge. So, what will be next... this picture but without a car ;-) ?

Ebbe, both pics are a delight to the eyes. I presonally prefer the previous one for the stronger graphic composition, but now that i stop to see this one, i am feeling quite confused by the orientation on the arrows (we do not have those blue/white ones here). Let me see if I can explain: the arrow on the ground, in the road seems to orient cars in 'our' direction, right? So, why does the two ones on the right go in the same direction? is it a 4 sides crossroad?
Sorry, seems i sound weird :)
Guess i woul dneed MORe than a map to drive around in Borlange!
Ah, btw, a warm kiss from a sunny Brasil! ;)

This is great, Ebbe, so simple daily life scene, but so well composed and original. A pure graphism and a perfect timing. Great!

It seems what is perfectly understandable to you and me, Ebbe, is totally confusing to someone from another country (reading Isabel's comment). And possibly the tighter cropping and the altered setting on the lights - although including a vehicle - was taking it a step too far. It still has that graphic feel, but I liked your previous shot more. This one has left out to much vital information. But your RGB color combination (excluding the brownish slush) is just fine. Well done!

The lines of the tracks and the signs make me laugh at seeing this. Really strange, but this picture is making me giggle! A contrast to your blues mood. Having the car half cropped off works really well here - it is unique but gives the sensation of it slipping away and out of the frame.

Absolutely fantastic image! The balance of the signs and the car taking off to the left, the 'arrowing' of the tracks, the lighting, the oppositional directions of the arrows - everything is working so well to make this a picture to read and read again. Really great - one of my favourites so far on TE.

all these lines go to many ways, the signs, the car and the snow on the road created a very interesting situation you captured very well. Good shot.

Dear Ebbe,
Thanks a lot for all your beautiful photos. I had to stop at this one while looking through your gallery. It's such an everyday scene on a winter day but you have caught the moment so incredibly well. I have to admit that you have a uniquely good eye for compositions. I would never have thought about using the tracks made by cars in the snow as the main driving affect from one corner to the other. The high POV also helps a lot here to emphasize the lines and curves but what I like most in this photo is how you have caught the end of that car (red colour also nicely chosen). It's in the photo and not in the photo, it gives you some movement. But whichever curve you choose, it's simply remarkable how much fun you can have by looking at the directions you can follow through the photo. It is just a lively and fun image.
On the one hand I have to congratulate you and on the other hand it helps me a lot too in understanding the power of a good composition. I think I will try to pay more attention next time ;-).
Thanks a lot!
