I am "in the suitcase state of mind"....
I've just realized: this photo was taken exactly 2 years ago!
Time flies, doesn't it?
This is my last post before I leave on a holiday on Monday.
I apologize to my TE friends for being so inactive for the past days! I've been very busy arranging things at work and at home before my departure, and I got so tired that I didn't have any free time or emotions left to come to TE.
Hopefully, my very long-awaited holiday will help me refresh my energy! :)
About the photo: the ship is a cruise ship Le Diamant.
I cropped the photo a little on both sides.
Camera settings: automatic.

Hello my dear Elena
Welcome back to TE, I am a little afraid of you, as there was no news from you.
What a fresh and comfortable image !
Complete framework, total color tone of white is very effective. The bicycle is also a good accent.
Congratulation on your good job !
Thanks for sharing and best regards,
Have a nice weekend !
PS. I will go outside Tokyo for shutting the unique festival right now.

si te sers de ce navire pour la pêche et bien je t'en souhaite des gros à souhait, il est de toute beauté ce navire blanc dans ce ciel ennuagé.

I sincerely hope that your energy will be increase. There are an interesting contrast between the size of the transportation. I like both. Each one has its charm. Very beautiful picture. Parabéns.

white is the color of both winter and summer.
and the ship shows us directly joy of the voyage. and busy life...
so the waiting time for the departure seems uncertainly ambient to us,
that is very ambivalent...but the joy of holidays already started in it.
this shot is nice expression of your "suitcase mind".
thank you for your excellent picture.
have a nice holiday!
and take nice shots!

This is a very stylish composition that I like a lot. An original close-up of a large ship with very few colours but elegant details. The lamppost and the bicycle are important ingredients, and so are the red items on the lifeboats, the rows of round and square windows, the bench and even the waste-basket. The strange light among the clouds is also very appealing.
I wish you a pleasant vacation, and maybe we'll meet in Stockholm next week.

An interesting composition!
I like the use of the side of the boat as a b/g for the vertical lamp and its associated bicycle. Good perspective is achieved by the converging lines of the chain-link fence and the quayside.
I think I would have been tempted to crop the upper part of the ship more severely so that the top line of the boat was emerging from the top l/h corner. To me, it added to the fine perspective.
Have a good holiday.
No doubt, you will have some interesting shots to share on your return.

Quite some contrasts in this picture; the large boat versus the small bicycle. So you are going on holiday, by boat or bike? Hope you will have a nice time wherever you go. But don´t go to Dalsland, we just left, it was raining cats and dogs... It is slightly better in Norway where we are just now.

The bike and the empty seat are a good contrast and good inclusion in this scene. Rather than a street scene - a wharf scene. I hope you have an enjoyable trip to your favourite city and don't forget to take some photos!!! Tfs, Marlene

Cette photo est magnifique avec ce plan serré sur ce gros bateau blanc. J'aime la composition, le graphisme et les belles nuances.
Bonnes vacances !

Great title and excellent photo. I just love the juxtaposition of the bike and the towering ship beside it. It really does look as though someone just got off that bike and boarded it. But that's a mighty powerful chain to secure one's bike! It's a great exposure with your little camera, which gives the sky plenty of detail. Excellent close crop too. I like the subtle and tiny flashes of colour, orange and pink. Great work.
I hope you are enjoying your holiday. I have returned from mine, back from the summer of France and England to the winter of Melbourne.
