[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Practically the same place as yesterday's picture. The small ferry MS Lotten has just left the Luma jetty on Stockholm's southern mainland to take pedestrians and cyclists across Lake Hammarby to Södermalm island. There is no charge for the short ride.
The church on the hill is Sofia kyrka, built in the early 20th century and named after Queen Sofia, married to King Oscar II, the ruler of Sweden and Norway 1872-1905 and for a further two years king of Sweden after Norway's independence.
Sofia is one of four parishes of Södermalm island.

Gert,
Nicely composed shot of this nautical theme. The ferry dock along with the boat create a nice line through the shot giving the photo nice direction. The lighting and colors are fine with nice sharpness and detail. The church in the distance is a nice addition to the scene.

Hej Gert,
Another contribution to the marine theme. Everything is well placed according to existing rules, the church, the ferry and the quay line in the background. Simple rules but they seem to work, this is a well balanced and harmonic photo. Even a red detail!

full of details,a scene relative to the marine

Hello Gert,
I just thought to look through your photos of Stockholm, for a change :)
I haven't been to this particular place of Stockholm yet, but I should do it next time.
I like the view and the whole scene, with the little ferry (I simply love such ferries) leaving the jetty.
Very relaxing and quiet atmosphere in the photo, the colours and the point of view, of course (it seems to me, without Sofia church something would be missing in the composition).
