Photographer’s Note

At the Norberg Festival this year were rope-lights all around on the ground outside the second stage (in a building which used to be part of the iron mine and is now called Kraftwerk and is the venue for some fantastic electronic music during the festival). On the last evening of the event spirits were high and people started to swing the ropes around. This shot is one of quite a few I took.

I have mixed feelings about the pic.
your note is indeed illustrative to connect the picture with the event.

I like it due to the unusually clear pattern of the rope lights which have come due to slow shutter. Looks artistic.

On the contrary that is just one half of the pic, if i see ...is all blurred. So 50/100 on the technicals, including
the contemporary pov/good sharpness in the rope/heavy blur otherwise/nothing much to comment on colors, but the pic surely has high temperature.

Guess its one of its kind. Anyone can look at it just two way.. either they will like it ..or not like it.

With all said and done i still like it for its color feel and the rope pattern. I know you had to compromise on the blur in the picture due motion of the person moving the rope.

Good piece of work for me.. i may be would have clicked the usual way ..at high shutter for this ..but you went the other way and took what the usual crowd of clickers would not have taken. So ..keep experimenting! :)
