Photographer’s Note

This is Nötön (Nut Island) in northern Värmland. The lake is Övre Brocken and behind the cape in the middle of the picture is a very popular camping site. A lot of tourists from Germany and the Netherlands have found their paradise here.

Hej Gunnar,
This looks very nice, partly thanks to the good composition with the reeds and the twigs framing the picture to the left and the diagonal beach being extended into a nice curve, This picture should serve as an invitation to more Germans and Dutch: Such a lovely place with an empty beach (except for the occasional photographer).

Hello Gunnar,

A perfect composition here, from the FG foliage at the left, the shoreline sweeps round, taking our eye to the middle ground bed of reeds, then on to the two stages of the distant water's edge. The tops of the trees form a nice diagonal from right to left, as they recede into the distance.

Lovely soft colours.

I like the curves along the shoreline in this very pleasing rustic landscape and also the contrast in colours and textures between the sandy beach and the trees which seem to go on forever, Excellent colours and clarity.
