Photographer’s Note

This is really the genuine countryside in Sweden! And also in the most western part, close to the Norwegian border.

This reminds me of the famous American jazz drummer, Buddy Rich. He had to go to hospital once. Before the operation the doctor asked: "Is there anything you are allergic to?" And the answer was: "Two things. Country and western!"

I like the colors and contrast here.The clouds are nice too and look very natural.Good composition with these red wooden buildings and great POV.

without any knowlegde of Sweden, i would have choosen this country seeing your thumbnail, it´s real typical capture, with green land, red houses and an almost cloudy sky; very fine pov and great sharpness..

This is a wonderful summer and countryside photo! The red house with white frames looks very similar to the school house, where my aunt was teaching and living, when I was a kid. You have caught the summer atmosphere and colours excellently with a good composition. The clouds are an extra bonus. A view to long for now in the middle of winter.

Once again your picture really stands out among the thumbnails regarding clarity and colours. And of course it had to be Koppom. It's a nicely composed picture of green, red and traces of blue among the fabulous clouds. It's almost surprising to see a place so neat and well kept in Koppom. How different from the rundown, depressing central parts of the village where we used to live. Why did you keep this picture so long? It's one of your best!

this is like a picture from an exhibition :) Excellent "typical" Swedish colours of a sunny day and a perfectly chosen composition. And surely the cloudy sky is a very good addition to this image :) I can't say too much about this photo except that I like it very much, and I like its very warm, natural colours!

Looking at the thumbnail I was immediately put in mind of the northern part of the United States or Canada. What a surprise to find that we are in Sweden! A fine composition of this very appealing ensemble of farm buildings, which are nicely framed by the pink tinged grassland in the foreground. I like also the interesting sky. Very good natural tones and excellent sharpness. But, I do have to admit that I quite like Country & Western ;-)

Bonjour Gunnar,
j'ai un petit faible pour les pays scandinaves avec en tête l'Islande et la Norvège, mais la Suède ainsi que la Finlande ont pas mal de charme aussi.
Un ciel magnifique qui domine une scène très colorée où rouges et verts se disputent les part du la photo.
C'est net et très bien exposé.

Yes, it is the genuine a Swedish house which I remember from my travel to your country many years ago.
I like this peaceful photo with meadow in the foreground, red farm buildings and the cloudy sky. Nice colors and sharpness.
In Sweden the sky like to change very rapidly because a lot of strong winds.

This is a beautiful place and the feeling of high summer in the countryside is awesome!
I wouldn't at all mind living there, except that the farming part probably would give me some trouble hahaha...
Again... a beautiful farm well maintained, the photograph is skillfully done to justify the subject!
