Photographer’s Note
In front of Uppsala Castle there is a belltower called the Gunilla bell. Queen Gunilla Bielke was the second wife of the Swedish 16th century king Johan III . The queen donated the bell to the chapel of the castle. The bell was in the 18th century moved to its present place. At 6.00 am and 9.00 pm every day the bell strikes.

Hi Ulf
again very nice capture .. now I am curious to have a look at the the complete view of this castle with regards to its surroundings ..
I remember the cathedral from your previous photo but I don't think I have seen any photos of the castle with the complete view in your gallery .. though you do have some photos of the towers or some other parts of castles.
thanks for the share ... regards ... sarju

Hej Ulf,
Vacker bild med fina färger. Jag tycker mest om kontrasten mellan den mörka klockan och den ljusa byggnaden.
Hälsningar,
Lars

Hej Ulf, I really like this archi-graphism. The soft tones and round curves of the castle form a very striking contrast with the dark tones and sharp forms of the bell tower. Very well seen and executed, I like this a lot!
Have a nice week,
Bert
