Photographer’s Note
This building in Uppsala is called Skytteanum after Johan Skytte, council of the realm and a leading politician in seventeenth century Sweden. Skytte in 1622 donated the Skyttean professorship of Eloquence and Government to the University of Uppsala. His house in Uppsala, the originally medieval building is still used by Department of Government. When I posted a picture of the other side of the building I was asked what there letters on the wall meant. The meaning of it is Herr Johan Skytte Friherre Riksråd Fru Maria Naef Till Groenseo, that is Mr Johan Skytte Baron Council of Realm Wife Maria Naef of Groenso. Groenso is a manor in an island in the Lake Maelaren at the distance of 30-40 kilometers from Uppsala. Obviously his wife was a noblelady.

Bonjour Ulf,
un très joli batiment avec de superbes couleurs qui s'assortissent bien.
Tu as parfaitment cadré et dommage qu'il y a ce mur en dalles de bèton sur la gauche pas très esthétique.
Une bonne maitrise des lumières.
Regards.
Daniel.

I like the warm colors on this one- the yellow really pops in the sunshine. The lettering on the building is really cool, kind of crooked, but very straight design. Good POV being right up against that wall. Great photo!

Ulf,
Thanks for answering my question. I am amazed at the color difference from this shot and the other. It is very nice. I like the shadows from the trees and the angle from which you took this picture from. The addition of the lone walker is a nice move. I like the human touch.
Thanks for sharing,
Katie
Sweden looks very beautiful. I think I will add it to my list of desired travel locations.

Hello Ulf,
The sun gives a great luminance in the building. I like the perspective of the picture. The wall introduce the eye to the arch, and them to that fantastic building. that is very well hightlighted.
Great job,
TFS

Hej Ulf,
I like the point of view near the wall, making a good lead-in to the main subject!
An interesting piece of architecture, and the fine light makes the good colours of the building really stand out...
A fine composition of and attractive subject!
Greetings,
Pablo -
