Hello Ulf,
An original but very efficience framing. Very beautiful reflections in the windows. Nice contrast and very pleasant play of shade.
Have a good evening,
Roger

Hello! It is a very original photo, with the lamp as a central point, the color of the wall and the reflections of the window.

Dag Ulf,
Original POV with the tree on the left, giving the composition a solid natural frame on that side. Funny to see that the lamp is burning, but it didn’t succeed in decrease the contrast in the picture. It is of course impossible to challenge the sunshine :- ))

Hej Ulf,
The tree and especially the green leaves form a fine lead in and introduces us to the building and points to the lit lantern. The reflection in the windowpanes is a nice element too.
A compo that isn't obvious but that all the same works very well. Good work!
Have a fine weekend,
Cheers,
Bert

Bonjour Ulf,
une vue intime avec un avant plan très bien exposé et coloré mais un arrière plan passablement brûlé. Je trouve que le réverbère est un peu centré aussi et un léger coup de flash autait piu mieux équilibrer les lumières.
Best regards
Daniel.

Hej Ulf,
This is a fine glimpse into a little Uppsala street, taking my mind back in time with a strong feeling of nostalgia!
A balanced composition and I notice the fine reproduction of the house colour...
Nothing in the frame indicating the year of 2006..!
Greetings,
Pablo -

Great image and a fantastic note.
I noticed the difficulty on the light management... nice work.

Hello Ulf,
is it really so small or have I misunderstood something? (I can not imagine that the prestigious Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences resides in this modest building.)
As for the photo: right, this extent of light differences can simply not be managed by the sensor. (Once again a proof for the superiority of our eyes or rather our brain - I have read somewhere that big light differences like here are not balanced in human eyes due to their limited capability for accomodation but in the brain.) The vivid colour of the house is interesting, the tree was a good choice for foreground.
Best whishes
Laszlo
