A typical winter sunset in town.
View from afar.
By the way, it was 2:09 PM ...

The background is pretty peculiar:

first goes Skeppsbolmsbron (Skeppsholm bridge) - with its street lamps;
then goes Teaterskeppet - a ship built in 1959;
behind Teaterskeppet is the traditional Christmas tree;
then goes Gamla Stan (Old Town) with its pretty old houses;
and finally goes a bit of Södermalm with Maria Magdalena Church towering over all these mentioned above :)

Hi Elena,
Very well matching colours of smoky blue and pale brown. The church tower makes a good pair with the Christmas tree. Conical shape of it is astonishingly perfect, I wonder if it has been trimmed.

Hello Elena,
Very interesting composition which includes a series of planes that give depth to your picture. The Christmas tree seems to be part of the boat like a big mast. The soft light and and the lovely sky make for a pleasant winter mood. Well spotted and realized.

Hello Elena,
The light was difficult, but two weeks earlier it would have been even darker at 2:09. But you have used the limited light very well, creating a good atmosphere with a natural sepia tone. The many lights give the Christmas tree very fine contours and its narrowing peak matches the church tower very well. You managed to squeeze an amazing number of Stockholm elements into this one picture.

Having lived in Stockholm for two years myself, I am always pleased to see pictures from this beautiful town.
You managed the difficult light quite well here, there is a real wintery mood to the picture and the tone in tone colors are pleasing.
