Photographer’s Note
I have posted a picture of the the Riksdagshuset, the Parliament building of Sweden in in central tockholm. This was taken a couple of days before my first picture and it is a bit different both in colour and lighting.
The style of the Riksdagshuset is neo-baroque and the building was constructed between 1897 and 1905 The Riksdag has 349 members that are elected for four years. The building to the right is the Royal Castle but the Royal Family does not live there anymore.

Hi Ulf;
Very nice these brightness reflections on water, good light capture, just a little tilt ...

Hej Ulf,
Beautiful reflections in the water here, but whenever I see this building I think of that old motto (unfortunately I have no translation): "Här fattas visa belut". But a fine photo nevertheless! With or without good decisions...

Hej Ulf,
I must say that Stockholm is rather a dark city in the evenings and at night! and each brightly (or semi-brightly) lit building (and, consequently, its reflection in the water) appears to be very valuable for a photographer :)
Beautiful view! though the image looks kinda tilted... but if you correct the tilt a big part of the reflection will disappear, so let it be as it is :))
Best regards,
Elena

Ulf,
This is a very nice blue hour shot! The reflection adds nice depth and balance for the scene. The lighting and sharpness are fantastic allowing us to see nice details.

This really is a superb night shot with a dark blue sky and not the bright blue you get in the early 'blue hour'. The detail in the low light is amazing, and the reflections are gorgeous. I read your responses to the people who mentioned the tilt and I don't understand the point you are making. I downloaded it and put a grid on. It doesn't look like WA or even perspective distortion as both sides of the building are leaning towards the right, and the 'vertical' that runs through the centre of the clock is to the right of it on the reflection. Sorry for bringing it up again. It's a fantastic image in all other respects and one to be proud of.

Hello Ulf,
well, it seems to be the day of rotation for me adding my contribution to your dilemma discussed with Jean, Elena and Kath. I do not want to give you a piece of good advice since from your answers I see you know all what I could tell you - may be with one exception: one can make mistakes also with a DSLR, especially in night lights. Since with wide angle you can not get two parallel lines (especially if you can not hold the camera exactly parallel to the wall) every rotation is rather a matter of instinct and taste. (Sure, in the professional architectural photography even the slightest deviation from the vertical is strictly prohibited - but they use shift and tilt lenses ten times as expensive as our complete equipment.)
Despite all the disputes I like this photo curiously so much different in its atmosphere from the first one.

Hello Ulf,
wonderful nightshot of this beautiful building with good sharpness and many details. Your exposure is excellent and I also like the lovely reflections on the water. Concerning the workshops I do think that Laszlos version is the most reasonable.
Best wishes,

A charming sight of Stockholm by night: just as I saw it!
You have a perfec light management here and a perfect reflection too! The clarity is so good that one can appreciate all the architectural details in the house of parlament and the beautiful textures and the colours both in the building and on the water are really wonderful. It's a real professional photo, well composed and achieved.
My best compliments,

Hej Ulf,
It is a fine piece of architecture, nicely situated by the water!
The low light exposure is well done but I wonder why you use full opening...
The calm water provides a fine mirror, lovely colour palette!

Bonjour Ulf,
une prise nocturne d'ue grande qualité et d'une netteté parfaite, les les eaux avaient été plus calmes, les reflets auraient été miroirs.
Une heure bleue bien capturée.
Amicalement.
Daniel.

Hi Ulf!
I've never been to Sweden, but I imagine it must be already cold there by now, right?
I like your Parliament building, it's a little different from the usual. You got a good exposure here and that reflection on the water is a perfect detail. A good night shot!
