Photographer’s Note
Taken the same day as my last ice shot, near the shoreline of lake Norrviken. The holes that you can see in the ice are fishing holes, they where used recently since they where still open.
I put my hand down one of them to feel the depth of the ice, it was a good 10cm which is about twice as much as is needed for safety when the ice is fresh and strong.

So we are both lost in ice, I have ice pictures for weeks ahead! But I think you should be a little careful with the blue and I also feel a tilt. I made a workshop for you. Check if your camera has a "Customer set" on WB, it is quite handy to calibrate on the snow when lights are difficult.
After reading your last note I wonder how we shall explain the sound effects to those guys down south? The ice makes some very cool sounds when stresses are released, but there are no words....
Out of points ;o(

Thanks for the note Mattias. Did not know how thick they ice needs to be. (With that said, i'm sure you figured out that i'm mostly doing my skating on in house areanas and fake ice :)). I like your composition with the mountain and tree to the left and the man makes the photo more intresting.
Following up on Ebbes note. You should defenatly have a setting for WB (White Balancing), but it can stilll be difficult trying to get rid of the blue colour. (I have tried it). The camera and the eye simply work in difrent ways. Our brain turns the blue in to white because we know it's white, the camera does not. It only goes by the temprature of the light. You could use a filter if your camera allows it, or do some post process work to it.
