There's a large number of roads leading in to the black scandinavian forests, here and there small tarn and lakes with deep dark water and almost no site of human presence around. This is the time of the year when the air is filled of birdsong and the ground decorated with wild flowers, the time of the year when you never want to go to bed just resting a few hours on the moss with your beloved as a pillow before the sun rises again.

Hej Anders,
Although I didn't grow up in Södermanland, this is very much the forest road of my childhood. One can easily imagine that there are trolls and other creatures waiting behind the gentle curve, these days more likely a moose. The mossy rock to the left makes a good foreground.

Hej Anders,
It certainly looks a lot like Värmland where we grow up. Same roads and same dark forests... When I look at this excellent picture, I get a strong feeling of John Bauer; the darkness behind the tree trunks!

Hello Anders,

I think I know this scene!
The winding gravel road used to take me and my bike deep into the forest when I was a kid, to the adventures hiding behind the next bend...
The simplicity of the composition is very appealing, and I notice the fine natural colours!

It defnitely the out door season right now. I like the smoothe line from the forrest road. Its like an wooden formula 1, s-bend.

Hi Andres,
Serene, peaceful, that were the first words that came up to me. It's so simple, but so so beautiful. The winding path makes great depth, but it's the serenety what makes the shot...wonderful, truly wonderful.
