This is from Tavastgatan on Södermalm island, central Stockholm. A dark and narrow street in what used to be a working class district. Now quite chique and trendy because of its location, but still dark and narrow.

I'm sure there are quite enough of dark and narrow streets and lanes in Södermalm, but they don't lose their special charm because of weather conditions! Of course sunshine and blue sky make a photo a lot more cheerful, but if you like the place you just like it as it is - in any kind of weather..
Excellent perspective view! I like the inclusion of the red road sign, and the street lamp at the top :)

A well performed and well composed Picture. The two round details of the street sign and the street lamp are balancing the other parts of the composition, which consist of the window filled gable above the wall and the tree. The light conditions seem to have been quite difficult, but yet you have managed to achive attractive shades of blue here. But where are all the people?

Hi Gert, indeed , it looks still dark and narrow, and empty. Anyway, it looks nice and good perspective.

From your photos one can see that there are many interesting corners in Södermalm, worth to see. A good POV and a composition with several details to view. The second building on the left has a beautiful architecture. You have controlled the light perfectly and the colours look very natural and pleasant. TFS!

Gert this is a fine view but it looks more empty than some other shots, don't know exactly why but it is eerily empty, like the end of the earth empty... Nice work, dramatic feel.

It's funny how older areas suddenly become the place to be when someone decides to spend a fortune on renovation. Good use of perspective to lead the eye up the cobbled street.

my friends and I played here when we were kids.It was maybe more people here then, but even then it was dark and narrow..
I like your well choosen Pov where we can see the beautiful architecture of this (dark and narrow)street.
Well saturated colors and very sharp.

I went nosing around in your big gallery; I stumbled over this very charming and well composed photo. I have visited Stockholm and I'm pretty sure I saw Södermalm. It is just next to Gamla Stan I believe.
Fine dense atmosphere of old Sweden. Tavastgatan... I seem to remember that one of the characters from the book "Den ökenda soldat" was from Tavastland. It was the officer called Koskela. I imagine you know the book.
PS: you were right about the photo with the old barn... it was not sharp. Thanks for telling me. I actually hadn't checked .
