the location

Flemingsberg is a southern suburb of Stockholm, Sweden, located in Huddinge Municipality. It is approximately 15 minutes by Stockholm commuter rail from central Stockholm. Apart from a railway station, Flemingsberg also has a major hospital, a university college and there are colourful high-rise residential buildings from the 1970s.

the picture

May 23, 2009 was a grey, dull and rainy day. Arriving back in Flemingsberg after a day of sightseeing in Stockholm the sun finally broke through. I loved the way it lit up the green behind the bench.

A different picture from this Suburb of social problem and alienation.
In the late 50's there was hard to find good places to rent in the major cities of Sweden so government decided to build 1000 000 flats in 10 years (the million project) and Flemingsberg was one of them. nothing wrong with the flats. but it's been so criticized through the time of many different reasons. To they those areas has been slumified because the lack of restoration.

Hallo Benny,

Een heel mooie rustieke foto, ook in de symmetrie ziet hij er zeer fraai uit. Maar vooral het licht wat over het gras schijnt wat het groen en geel heerlijk opfleurt is werkelijk schitterend. Een lege foto, maar met zorg en veel oog voor detail gemaakt....ik vind hem heel erg mooi.

Hello Benny,

In small in the gallery, I was first not so attracted by this photo and it was a mistake because when opened, there is something in it.
There is a special atmosphere thanks to the lightning on the grass background and thanks to nobody inside the frame. In this way, the title fits well to this photo.
