I was walking around Skeppsholmen in Stockholm this morning when I came across these shuttered windows. Fortunately I didn't have to wait long for someone to walk past.

Kind of minimalist, both in the graphics and in the colours, but because of it it is also very catchy. The presence of the lady is a nice break of the rest.

An excellent, simple but smart composition. You used the straight lines and few details of the wall very well and were perfectly assisted by the strong light and sharp shadows.

Great shot within the contrast and colours. Also a nice shot of "someone" being mum... :)

Hello Ian - You have posted so many interesting shots from you recent travels; this one stands out in the gallery thanks to its graphic simplicity. The stark light has provided strong shadows which work well here. My preference would have been to have the figure either facing the other direction or placed under the right hand window .... walking into the shot rather than out of it.
