A little dialogue... between the man and the City Hall.
Shall we see the result of this dialogue on TrekEarth? maybe some time... who knows? :)
Shot on Södermalm.
ISO-100. Shot in RAW. FocalLength - 60 mm.

This is, as usual, an excellent composition with a fine balance between the photographer and the City hall tower. The wooden railings also match the shape of the City hall very nicely. Sepia was a successful choice. The clouds look slightly odd to me, probably as a result of PP.
I believe this is from Monteliusvägen, which I think I showed you the first time, isn't it?

When I saw the thumbnail and I read your title 'one, two, three..!' I thought this man was going to dive into the water. I guess I dreamed of too much action.
So this picture is taken in Södermalm which means that you've combined two Swedish provinces on this photograph :)
Also your combination of the Stadshuset and the photographer is really succesful.
Best regards, Paul

A good choice. Giving common sights a personal touch is one of your favourites - isn't it?
Looks like a serious photographer with a excellent POV.
I like your PP work her although I am not a fan of doing much PC work on my own posts - exept suto expo and sharpenning. Yesterdays Strandvagen post was a exeption - but nobody took any notice of the almost HDR like look.
What I like most here is the subtile play with sharpness - enough to lead the eye to the photographer and his camera but yet wnough to search for details in the BG. Great work - very creative.
Thanks for sharing this, have a nice evening,

i have not visited your gallery for a while and it was suprisingly many new, very interesting ones also. This one is one of your best in my opinion. I love the balance between the two vertical objects in this scene, the city hall in the North and the photographer in the South. Sepia create "the old look". It could be a photo captured 100 years ago(only we at TE knows the secret:) )A creative and good photo, Tfs !
Varma hälsningar från ett regnigt Stockholm.

Photograpoer photographed on your photo, painter working was on mine. A similar idea but with your sepia choise fifferent realization. And "my painter" stood somewhere near these arches. Nice place with excellent view on city hall. I like this composition very much. Very nice mood.
Warm regards from rainy cloudy and already cold Warsaw :(.

This is a very well composed picture with a good depth. There are two matching vertical lines from the railing and the tower. Interesting choise of sepia too. I tried to find this place on Google map but in vain. There was no such street...

un viraggio seppia molto ben riuscito.
Mi piace il POV che posiziona gli elementi verticali, l'uomo e la torre, a sinistra e a destra del fotogramma in una composizione molto elegante.

Boa noite Elena
A beautiful scene in sepia. Surely a short dialogue that, surely had a very good final result. Very well done.

Hi Elena. Here you show us an observational study. One might ask, who is observing whom? It is possible that you were observed by another while shooting. Joking aside, I like the photo very well. I like photos that arise almost walking. Rgds, Wolfgang.

Hi Elena aka Fanni,
good use of the wooden bech for a tripod, i guess, must have taken a superb sharp picture..lol.
think the convertion to sepia (isn´t it?) fits perferctly to the motive and the shot..

When you don't have a tripod, you should manage to find something replacing it! this is the case for this tourist who wants to have a picture of Stockholm. I should have reduced the sky height. Why in sepia?
nobuikehonda (3848) 2011-11-07 21:20
Hello dear Elena,
I can understand his feelings so well. I myself almost never use a tripod and am often faced with a similar problem. For as long as photography has existed for more than 100 years now, stabilising the camera has always been a major problems. By using the sepia tone, you have successfully eternalised and have addressed such problem associated with photography. The photographer in the lower left hand corner and the tower in the distance create a superb balance in your composition. I always like to see photos with their corners well activated. It is a superb image. I like the photo very much.
With my very best regards,
Have a very productive week, Elena
Please try to keep warm!
P.S: Thank you Elena
