Photographers Note
Death cap (atleast thats what I think its called in english) one sunny autumn afternoon. That brownish stuff in the background is actually a small river called Svartån. Taken with a small autofocus digital camera.

Fantastic shot! The colours are so real, and the depth makes us think we could touch it... I most like the light shinning trough the leaves. It's also very sharp & well framed.
Very good work! And Welcome on TE Frederik.

Nice eye-level shot, Fredrik. It would certainly help others identify the poisonous Amanita muscaria mushroom, which comes out at this time of year.
This is not a criticism of this shot but it would be interesting to see the wider context of where the mushroom was growing. E.g. it often grows on the roots of Silver birch, conferous trees
Note Amanita muscaria is otherwise known as 'Fly Agaric' in English. Aminata Phalloides is known as the Death Cap.

Snygg flugsvamp!
Du har lyckats väldigt bra med denna motljusbild, det är inte alltid lätt. Synd kanske med lövet och grässtråt som ligger mot svampen. Men om inte annat så känns det väldigt autentiskt på det sättet. Bra skärpdjup.

Nice deathcap.
I think you have done wellwith the exposure, which is not easy when the light comes from that direction. Pity maybe that the leaf and the staw is in contact with the cap but at least that adds authenticity to the picture. Good DOF.

A good first posting, Fredrik! You have caught the lighting really well and, as already noted, your DOF is excellent. Welcome.

Two poisonous mushrooms in a row - that's odd!
Great point of view - I especially like the leaf with the light passing thorugh it and the distant off-focus branches. An off-centre crop might work well.

Welcome Fredrik! What a nice first post. You captured the light beautifully. A crop from the left would put your subject off centre and give more prominence to the fungus as wekll as that lovely backlit leaf,

"Amanite tue mouches" Champignon Toxique.
Trčs bonne composition colorée et nette, cependant je trouve l'image un peu trop centrée.
"Amanita tue mouches in french" Toxic Mushroom.
Very good coloured and clear composition, however I find the image a little too centered.

Don't be ashamed of your small autofocus digital camera, it is your tool for recording what you see. I can't draw, that's why I use cameras. As for the Fungi, it is always better to be safe than sorry. Too many Fungi are deadly. Here in Ontario Canada your death cap is called Amanita phalloides. We have a white one called the False Death Cap .. Amanita citrina. Your photograph shows great side or back light ,and the detail in the Fungi is easy to see. There is nothing to be ashamed of.

Small autofocus digital cameras often take very good photos - if they're of a quality to have good lenses. This shot is very good, indeed, only minor is a small overbright patch on the death cap top right. This could be toned down with the burn tool, however.

Really beautiful, Fredrik.
Wonderful colours and light.
I actually like this as it is with the subject centered, but would have cropped a little off on the left side, myself, although I would not have removed anything at all from the right, as was done in the workshop, and would have left the framing quite open. All a matter of personal taste, I believe, as both versions we can see here are great.
Regards,
Andrew.

Hi Fredrick,
Amanita muscaria makes great shots. Same thing in Canada where this poisonous and deadly beautiful mushroom fascinates photographers and shows on TE sporadically...
