Last light on first ice Photo

Photographer’s Note

In the dusk light in the deep forest. The time is about 2 pm on a December day and it is time to put away the camera.

I just couldn´t help making another try on that first ice in the water filled path. The last weeks had been wet here and then we finally got a few cold nights.

Still no real winter in sight...

I love the pattern on the ice Ebbe. It's something I tried shooting last year but wasn't really successful. I am always surprised by such beautiful patterns created by nature, like those in the sand at dunes or on the beach.
Thids line of puddles is nice and it's not difiicult to experience the cold. B&W goes natural for this picture of course and it even makes it more graphic.
Here days are really dull and dark. The Dutch weather authorities have not seen any sun fir the last seven days.
