Photographer’s Note
Engelbrekt Engelbrektsson lived during the early sixteenth century and is perhaps best known for leading the "Engelbrektsupproret" in 1434, when he led a revolt against the swedish king Erik. He has since been regarded as somewhat of a national hero.
This statue was made by Karl Hultström in 1919 and is placed in front of "Kristine kyrka" ("the church of Kristina") in central Falun.
