Photographer’s Note
"The Miner" or "Gruvarbetaren" was made by Helge Zandén, who lived between 1886 - 1972. The statue is located at the site of "Falu koppargruva" - the coppermine of Falun.
No one knows exactly how old the mine is, but it had been active for more than 900 years when it was finally closed in 1992. Today the mine and parts of the city have been deemed as a World Heritage, due to it's historical values.
