Photographer’s Note
The pit of the Falun coppar mines. A World Heritage site.
This pit is large and was created by the collapse of the old tunnels on a day when fortunately nobody was inside. Most of the rubble has been dug out of course and this is what remains.
The most fun part of the mines is a guided tour trough the remaining tunnels. This is not a small mine. Once it produced the most coppar in Europe and remained in operation until the 90's of the 20th century.
What you see here is a stitch of nine photographs. Also did some tricks with the colors and some dodging & burning.

A very impressive piece of work, Sander. The large panorama really makes me feel as if I were standing at the very brink of the pit, the crispness of the textures is excellent, and the color setting is quite unique. Good stitching job, and well done on whatever other post-processing magic you did ;-)
