Hello Peter,
Out of smiles for the day but I wanted to tell you how much I'm enjoying your bird series. Your birds are all wonderful, but I like this fellow best with the lovely detail in the soft feathers, the melon highlights and the bright eye looking inquisitively at you. The framing is impeccable; the bird sitting on the mossy branch has plenty of room to fly. The softly blurred evergreens add color with adding competive detail.
Regards, Pat

Hello Peter. From one bird lover to another, one who appreciates how hard it is to photograph elusive wildlife, I congratulate you on the sharpness of the image of the bird. The indistinct foliage gives it a lovely , soft background. What sort of lens did you use and how high up the tree was this little fellow? Or more interestingly, how far up the tree were you?

Great artistic and colorful composition.
I like the softly-burred foreground, especially orange touch as the bird
versus the great sharpness used for the bird.
Congratulations,
Corinne

Hi Peter,
Very nice picture from this Bullfinch (in French that's a Bouvreuil Pivoine). The composition is very good, like the technical part of the photography. Well done !
