You did very well to capture it like that. They don't generally sit still for long. The important thing is that the eye is in sharp focus. Great detail captured in the fur as well. A little greater DOF to get the feet and ears in focus would have been nice, but good work all the same.

How cute it is with it's orange paws together. It's so well lit and the face is perfectly focussed. What's hanging out of it's mouth ? I like the almost square frame.

Hi Peter,
This fellow looks like he is very well fed and that he is waiting for you to feed him too. The other day in the park there were nearly a hundred squirrels and they came running over when I got out my camera. Unfortunaely my skill is not as great as your so I didn't capture the wonderful detail with the amazing whiskers, soft fluffy fur and bright eyes.

Hi Peter. Having spent my early years in Europe, I have a soft spot for creatures like the sqirrel. And how could one not love them, especially when one sees your photograph which captures its nervous disposition and its elusive beauty. They are never still enough to enjoy. Thanks for giving us the chance to study them at leisure.
