Photographer’s Note
The fifth of January came and went without much light. The sky was heavily overcast all day. In the early afternoon I went down to the river just for fun and I brought the tripod.
I found this rock living close to high voltage pylon and thought the contrast in shapes could be interesting. Used a long shuttertime to smoothen the water that to our eyes has a ripplepattern from the flow. (The EXIF says 7/10 s but the automatic info from EXIF can´t read that.)

Hi Ebbe,
A simply shot but an interesting composition, perfect focus on the snow and well seen contrast between white and dark water.

You always make fantastic composition involving ice and water, Ebbe. B/W is a nice choice, but I guess that it looks beautiful in colors as well. Anyway, great work of contrast and light, and a nice position of the rock in the frame. Well seen and captured.

Nice effect on the contrast between the textures of the snow, rock and water. Goes into my favorites. Nice note too.
Thank you sharing,
