Photographer’s Note
At the end of the tunnel is a box of sand in case the road is slippery going uphill in the winter or in this case more likely in case the tunnel gets filled with melting water that freezes in the night. Very slippery indeed.
In the winter our landscapes and cityscapes are decorated with a vast number of sandboxes filled with coarse sand and a showel. The sand is to fight the slippery surface of frosen water and thereby keeping our older citizens out of hospitals and making trucks go uphill etc. So many things don´t work on ice.
The picture is taken from an pedestrian underpass. This type of "pipe bridge" is becoming more and more common as the manufacturers are getting better and better tools to make a corrugated steel with a coarse profile in a thick plate. That way this bridge type is replacing small concrete bridges that are much more expensive to build.
Natural colors, the world is B&W this time of the year.

well, excellent idea for the picture; one must open a full size version in order to fully enjoy the photo with its details and being able to asses beauty of the compo

The low temperature last night where I live was just above freezing. I look at this scene and I SHIVER! I can't imagine trying to work my camera with gloves on, so I guess you pay the price in cold fingers when you venture out with your camera this time of the year. Thanks for doing so!
This is a fine capture with both graphical and natural elements, which marks it as one of your pieces Ebbe. There is enough light in the tunnel that we mark the corrugated ribs of the steel envelope but not too much light in the background features, including the tree limbs and the wonderful red box that grabs our attention instantly. Delightful work!

A great framing, Ebbe, and an excellent angle with very good light inside the tunnel. I like the metal ripples and the red trash bin a s the only colr in the frame. Beautiful shot.

Nice view Ebbe - I tried something like this in the summer - but haven't found it worthy posting - but this one fine - I like the snow which gives a better light in the tunnel - Thanks from a land without snow ;-)

Quite graphical POV, Ebbe. The red sandbox is perfectly placed by the tunnel's entrance and within the whole frame.
Corrugation is well lit and the colour of snow is great!
Bravo for this one!

Again a lovely Winter composition, Ebbe, and an unusual POV. The red sand box draws the attention in a pleasant way 'at the end of the tunnel'. It's a color spot mediating hope - or at least promise of help - if the walk is too hard or slippery. I like the framing of corrugated steel and the snowy forest as backdrop. Very well done!

You see, Ebbe? There is light at the end of the tunnel, and even bright things as well! That is what we always hope for, light at the end of the tunnel.
Nice portraying of this old saying, AND wish.
Very nice composition. The white branches at the end, are beautiful.
I know you get much, and probably you think you get too much snow, but I haven't seen anything here yet.

I find the red touch from the box of sand perfect.
Well done
