Photographer’s Note

November 14th last year, the first snow had just fallen. A wet soft blanket that will be gone again in a few days. Smaller watersurfaces have a first layer of ice too, this lake is just a pond used by the kids to cool of in the summer. The sun deck is built on two old foundation for a power line pylon that has been demolished, I guess it would have been to expensive to build this deck without a free of charge foundation.

This was taken in the last light of a very overcasted autumn day, or is it a winter day? I have found by living in different parts of our long country that "autumn" and "spring" does not mean the same in the North as in the South. For someone from the South spring means warm sun and tulips but in the North the sound of water dripping from the melting snow on the roof is enough to make it spring.

As it was dusk and grey weather I tried to keep it soft in PP too, not making the snow perfectly white.
