hej Sara,
to describe the swedish national mood I thin the world would be Mellan cool :) you have a lot of that melancholia in your images
wonderful with the church and the fire weed at the shore of the lake.

Hello Sara,
This is such a nice composition! The first thing that calls our attention is the wonderful ripples and reflections on the pond, and the sunset/sunrise colors that splash the canvas so beautifully. Second, you made good use of the foreground to add four layers of informations, creating depth (grass, lake, woods, sky). Also, the positioning of the church on the left third created a very interesting effect, as if two diagonal would flow from it in direction of the cloud gap, on top, and the highlighted reflection line, on the bottom. Actually, if there weren’t that cloud lacuna, the right part of the frame could seem a little empty. All this play of light and shadows make the picture so vivid, and not at all melancholic. The highlight/shadows tool was applied in a moderate fashion, not creating that horrific grayish overall look, thats good. Since you have a tripod, you could try and use multiple exposures (bracketing for the sky, the middle and background) in order to get more detail out of shadow and highlight areas, if that’s what you want.
