Red geometry Photo

Photographer’s Note

Changing trains at Sundsvall C I had to wait for the next train to be cleaned and prepared before boarding. On the opposite track the red engine that had pulled the regional connection from Östersund was still waiting in the setting sun. How should I miss an opportunity on red graphics like this one? Pls note - no extra saturation in this picture!

The engine type is the same as in my picture "Stine left in 82" but 87 times bigger ;o)

Une photo très graphique, superbe coup d'oeil!!! les differences de formes et de lignes dynamisent la photo, j'aime les reflet de la lumière sur les gilles.

Oh! What a strong red! Squares, Circles... But I see no hyperbole, no triangle... This geometry is quite basic ;)
A nice composition. Just simple as photography must be.

Wonderful composition in red, Ebbe. I like trains, and especially old engines, and this one is beautiful. Well composed with the geometry and the perfect cropping. I like the yellow ladder that breaks the red. Excellent light, sharpness and contrast.

It doesn't get more red than this, Ebbe. You're almost over the top now in color and graphics. And yet it's very appealing. A lovely composition and use of the light/shadow. I especially like the reflections of the setting sun in the vertical ventilation grid. Very well done!

This is fabulous. I checked your gallery and had a tough time picking out one nice picture. For now I chose this one coz there was a recent challenge(at another forum) on RED and I couldnt find a nice one. I wish I had something like this one to submit.

Excellent Excellent sharpness.. great that you could manage with a 2002 camera..
Like the color of red and yellow steps breaking the monotony..
Good framing and getting to show basic geometry.
