Photographer’s Note
Back in the September mountains. We were on the run from the dark clouds on the other side of the mountian. We had woken up in a snowstorm with two inches of snow around our tent up in the higher grounds behind the mountain in the back.
When we got down to lower grounds we got some sun but the winds were still very strong. Poles were necessary for support in the gusts of wind.
When I took this picture I had already passed the creek with a daring jump but my friend refused to try that spot and doubled back to find a better place. Maybe his boots were not as high as mine.

Oh, I love this kind of pictures. Trekking throught remote and rough areas like you're offering us in this picture is the ultimate way to experience nature to me! The contrast between your colourful friend and the natural colours of the area is very nice and the combination of the shadow on the mountains and the dark sky gives the scenery a threatening appearance. Good composition, your friend is well placed in the frame and I like the way his direction of travel makes our eyes follow the river towards the mountains. Regards, Michael.

Bonjour Ebbe,
magnifique paysage. Le parcours a l'air facile, mais je parie que chaque pas est un effort, chaque enjambée difficile.
Un parfait cadrage et des lumières et couleurs que tu as laissées naturelles, tu as bien chosi la place avec cette abondante végétation basse et colorée.
Compliments.
Daniel.

Wonderful clear shot of this breathtaking scenery...it's sharp, colourful and very well composed. Your friend is in the perfect spot to lead our eyes nicely into the picture and the mountains beyond. The light is sinister which adds to the threat of impending doom...I hope you both managed to evade the worst of the weather! Great shot. Best wishes, Vicky

aii !! superbe ! I adore the way to travel, it's the best : walking with a backbag and a tent.
And the weather conditions are very goog ! snowstorm, strong wind, etc : all what I like! hahaha
I never was in Scondinavia or Finland but I want so much to go; perhaps in autumn 06 or winter.
excellent photo quality !

Hej Ebbe!
Why is it that you never ever get those colorscale in any other mountain area around the world, Patagonia, the Alpes, New Zealand.
it really is that, you could immediately can see it's scandinavian.
