Photographer’s Note
There's an absolutley fantastic Museum i Östersund; Jämtland called Jantli,
that's considereven better than the one at Skansen in Stockholm here's some info.
From June 21nd to August 24th, the open air museum comes alive as actors and animals move into farms and other milieus. Every day, visitors are invited to participate in a number of exiting activities. Once you enter Jamtli Historyland, anything can happen!
A few steps could take you between the 18th, 19th and 20th century, and the people you meet might come from eras others than ours. Role-playing is used to show how people lived and worked, how they cooked, looked after their animals or ran business.

Hello Anders,
is this the Girl with a Pearl Earring? or is this the Woman Holding a Balance?.. looks like it's the latter... who accidentally came to Sweden through the ages ;)
An original view of the scene. I appreciate it, as a painter: both the colours and the idea.
Tack!

We have a similar place quite near to where I live and I LOVE to visit there. It really takes a person back in time and teaches us so much. This picture is fantastic! I love the natural framing of the woman, and the detail of the wood grain. Great job! TFS and have a happy day!

Yes, Anders, it reminds me of the Girl With The Pearl Earring - it's very Vermeer! A fine shot, which takes advantage of the lovely timber going in both directions on each side of the entrance. And you captured the girl with some sun falling on her face. That was a great exposure. A magnificent shot, one of your best I would say. Well done.

Andrew

Hej Anders,
very nice shot of this interesting museum. Well chosen angle which shows part of what happens there inside with details of the simple façade. Clarity is as good as the the exposure. Great job!

hej Anders,
I agree with Andrew - this definitely is one of your best photos. the composition is fantastic with the strong lines of the doors in the foreground framing the beautiful scene, but what I like best is the soft light that you have not ruined with over-shapening. for me that light is what makes this photo so Vermeer :) superb timing with the sun right on her face, and her expression both serious and calm. love it!
with best regards,
Kristine

Hi Anders,
Wonderfully shot and very nicely composed. The sharpness and details and the woman illuminated by the light from the window on her left is absolutely superb. Very nicely mastered my friend.
best regards. Salvator.

Hej Anders,
This is like a glimpse back to our past!
The view to the lady making food is nicely framed by the door, and the age of the house comes out well in the logs...
You make wonderful use of the light from the window, this is top class work!

This one's absolutely great and yes, it really does look
like an old oil Vermeer painting - the light is fantastic,
and there's a strong feel of that almost forgotten rural
life.
Excellent work!
