Photographer’s Note

Meals can be many things. A simple cup of coffe and an icecream with a good friend and something to let your eyes wonder over can be a memory for life. Like these two women at Frösövallen with the view of the lake Storsjön and the mountains Oviksfjällen in front of them.

Frösövallen is a small hostel and café ran by a small church at a fantastic place on the high ground of Frösön. Apart from coffe and icecream they also have nice cakes and pies ;o)

When I was a teenager I used to walked the dog here, the path goes down the steps you can see the handlebar of. To me this was a nature strong enough to keep a teenager of the streets.

Storsjön is Swedens fifth lake and in this picture you see a art of it that is filled with many islands, there are also some big open spaces on it but allways with the mountains in sight.

Oviksfjällen with the characteristic ball shaped Drommen in the middle is the easter most part of the mountain area in Jämtland. Closer to the Norwegian border the mountains get steeper and more dramatic while on this eastern part they are more of a rolling hill highland. The treeline in this climate is only about 800 m over sealevel so the height is nothing compared to other ridges in the world. But with this rolling hill moor like nature they are very accessible and you can room around in the free space for days.
