Photographer’s Note
Still at Jädraås-Tallås Järnväg, a museum narrow gauge railway. The #5 is a small diesesl shunting locomotive built in 1950 by Kalmar Mekaniska Verkstad in Kalmar, Sweden. I just couldn´t resist the colors of it. The light on this overcast day just afer a rainshower helped too.
Note the pepper grain, it is not added by me, it is oil drops from the exhaust. Trains are so friendly to the enviroment.

Fine graphism Ebbe, with bold colors and lines. You handle the geometry of the capture perfectly. I probably would have increased the size of the black frame element closest to the image so that it is the same width as the black railings of the train, but then I play with such things. No matter, you did a fine job with this image on every level. Great work!

We share the same interest for geometrical harmony in a man-made environment. Indeed, the "natural" color composition is most striking here, enhanced by the subtle touches drawn by the shadows and the strains...
I agree with Curtis about the width of the frame. In fact, I wouldn't have put one to begin with: the image has its own strength and doesn't need anything more. A matter of taste, though...

Wonderfully graphical shot, Ebbe. Good detail from the diesel engine with striking colors and an interesting combination of elements that make up an intriguing whole. From your photos and workshops we know you're always in for a good hard crop, and in this one it works great.

Great graphic composition again, Ebbe! Funny details, all those handles and doors - almost like an art installation!

How could I resist this shot, Ebbe? Growing up in Kalmar, I've seen them work both standard and narrow gauge there. Your shot reminds me so much, I'm able to hear the sound of them. And you've made a fantastic graphic composition of this one, with railings and engine trapdoors and the wonderful color combination. And, of course, the yellow stop-shoe traveling along as centerpiece. Very well done!

A very graphic piece of industrial art, Ebbe. Alphanumeric charachters are always welcomed in this kind of shots. Splendid colors and nice natural grains.
The arrangment accuracy of all the elemnts is very typical for an engineer..
Very well done.

The colours are amazing, Ebbe.
Also, I like all the graphic elements nicely left within the frame.
But the most important is the eye for details, which you have, indeed!

I like very much the color contrast, the yellow with the orange, the red with the grey. The composition is very good and the crop is excelent. The chosen frame couldn't be better.
