Oops...I Did It Again Photo

Photographer’s Note

So I have done this before, at a different place! But I just couldn´t resist this one!

In the WS is another view of this extremely red house.
The water is Mölndalsån (Mill Valley River) and this is at Gårda (or rather on Gårda, as we say in Gothenburg).

This picture was taken day before yesterday and it was a very nice and sunny day.

From the local paper (Göteborgs-Posten) of yesterday I quote different temperatures at 13.00 on Friday, January 8, in major European cities:

Berlin -3

Brussels -8

Helsinki +1

Madrid 0

Moscow -11

Oslo 0

Paris -2

Gothenburg +8

So when I took this photo, there was a feeling of springtime in the air!

An original view, certainly as it is so crystal clear that you do not notice immediately it is a refelction. I first thought it was a PS construction. Splendid colours too.

The perfect composition presented here and in the Workshop. This "spring" picture. Beautiful reflection. Thank you for your interesting comments. We are now in Moldova -5. Yesterday evening, completely cut off gas from Russia. The house is very cold. We are waiting for when the end of the gas conflict between Russia and Ukraine.

I like the vibrant red tones and, of course, the distortions, occasioned by the reflection. It's like something you would see in the Hall of Mirrors at the fairground, or after one too many :-)

You may add Paramaribo is + 28° C (82 F) at 21:20 o'clock in the night, due to only tropical summer all year ;)

The reflection is amazingly clear in your perfectly taken photo while the red color of house creating eye catcher contrast in blue. Your photo gives an amazing feeling from its thumbnail that looks like deformed by construction. Excellent clarity and sharpness. Congratulations. Have a nice new week.

A great wonky red house. You did well to capture the reflection so well when I see its location beside the river. Quite funny. I can't imagine that I could ever capture such a brilliant reflection in our brown Brisbane River - but we probably got to +30c on that day. Tfs, Marlene

Fine reflection shot...like the distortion more evident on the right. Colour contrast between the red house & the sky is very attractive. I was surprised to see the temperatures in your note...Gothenburg is warmer than Paris, Berlin & other Southern cities!

Very beautiful reflection here, the mirror effect is perfect. Very vivid colours as well ans nice distorsion of the lines. I was in Brussels at that time, no spring feeling at all for me ;)

This image is so clear at first I was wondering why it was distorted. I didn't realize it was a reflection shot. This is the best reflection shot I have seen on TE! Creative and a one of a kind.
